James Brothers was born in Fargo and graduated from North Dakota State University and the University of North Dakota School of Law (J.D. 1975). After serving as Assistant States Attorney in Richland County, North Dakota, he served as Domestic Relations Referee for Cass County, North Dakota. Jim and his wife have two grown children. He now devotes himself primarily to divorce, child custody, child support, and other legal issues affecting the family.
