Professional Experience
Joe’s areas of concentration include commercial litigation, loan documents, foreclosures and workouts, construction litigation, real estate, estate planning, and business formation.
Joe is a 1970 graduate of the University of North Dakota with a degree in General Business Administration and a 1973 graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Law. He is admitted to the state and federal bars in North Dakota and Minnesota, as well as the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. He has authored numerous continuing education outlines for legal seminars in North Dakota, including banks and credit unions.
Joe has been in private practice since 1978 and celebrated 50 years practicing law in 2023. In 2005, his daughter, Katrina, joined him in practice and the firm changed its name to Turman & Lang, Ltd. when she was named partner in 2011. On January 1, 2024, Turman & Lang, Ltd. merged its practice with Wold Johnson, P.C.
